Day 1

So, here I am, dieting again.

It really sucks that I've gotten to that point in life where I have to start watching what goes into my gob. Gone are the carefree days of youth when I could eat anything I liked and stay as thin as a rake. Ah well.

So a friend has talked me into doing the Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation. It's currently day 1 of the preseason (which looks like it will last about a month). I've decided I'll use this blog to keep up to date on what I'm eating, what exercising I'm doing, and how badly I want to die.

So I went to the doctor and said "my wife isn't interested in me sexually anymore" and he told me I should maybe try to diet.

"Great idea!" I replied. "What colour do you suggest?"





Ugh. So, day 1. Feeling short and fat. No exercise planned just yet. Going to go home from work, think about exercising, and then reward myself with food for all those good thoughts.

  1. Hey hey, you aren't dieting - you are changing your life!! Don't think of it as hell or as a diet otherwise you'll end up hating it!

    Keep track of your milestones too - for example the first time you walked up a hill or went to the gym or anything that makes you feel positive about the changes you'll be making in your life :)

    It's okay I feel fat too, but that's why we are doing it!! Don't just think about exercising go and do it - even if its only walking around the block, I mean that's more than I used to do - EVER!!

  2. Thanks Kath! I mean for this whole blog thing to be fairly tongue in cheek. Except I'm probably not allowed to eat tongue any more.

    I find I can only take something seriously if I don't take it seriously at all =)
