NO EXCUSES!

There was an email from Michelle Bridges in my inbox this morning. Get Real. No More Excuses. This is a time for reflection. A time to take a good honest look at myself, and figure out where it all went wrong. I think I've figured it out:

*Deep breath*

  • I'm a lazy office worker who always makes excuses to not do anything that is good for myself. Current excuses include:
  • I'm too tired.
  • This is the LAST bacon bagel.
  • No, this is the last bacon bagel.
  • It's okay to eat crap today, because I'm going to start working out tomorrow.
  • My foot hurts.
  • I don't feel well.
  • I'm too stressed.

But it's gotten to the point where I need to make a decision. I can continue not exercising and eating shit, but I have to also be comfortable with having man-boobs. I've got to say, I'm NOT happy with man boobs, and that unhappiness really outweighs any positives I could get out of eating "comfort food". So, as usual, my motivation is Big Boobs.

I had a gym appraisal yesterday morning. I've gained almost 6kgs in the last 6-7 months. My fitness level hasn't dropped too far, thankfully, but I've definitely undone a lot of the good work I did with P90X early last year. Time to get back on that horse, and this time get it done.





I rode to work this morning, 14kms. I forgot my gloves and helmet, but it's fine since it was on bike paths the entire way. I had a backpack that weighed probably ten kgs, so if we add everything together:
Bike: 6kgs
Bag: 10kgs
Fat Ass: 93kgs

That's not bad. I hauled 109kg's for 14 km's, and I'll have to haul it another 14km's into the afternoon wind later today. That's close to 30km's a day of hauling my fat ass up and down the freeway. That should be a good start.

Current Goal: Lose 5kgs in the Preseason
